Ayatollah Ali Khamenei (2020): ”The Zionist regime is a deadly cancerous tumor and a calamity in this region, which will certainly be uprooted and destroyed.” Detta sades under Quds-dagen, där Khamenei betonade Irans stöd för palestinier och motstånd mot Israel. Han liknade vid upprepade tillfällen Israel vid en ”cancer” eller ”tumör”.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei (2015): ”By 2040, there will be no Israel.” Detta uttalande gjordes i ett tal i Tehran, där Khamenei diskuterade Irans kärnavtal och framhöll att Israel inte skulle existera om 25 år.
Speaking to a large gathering of people, he noted that after the nuclear deal with the West, the Zionists said that there won’t be any concern about Iran’s nuclear program in the next 25 years.

Hossein Salami (2019): The commander of Iran’s elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said on Monday that destroying Israel was now an “achievable goal.”
Four decades on from Iran’s Islamic revolution, “we have managed to obtain the capacity to destroy the impostor Zionist regime,” Major General Hossein Salami was quoted saying by the IRGC’s Sepah news site.
“This sinister regime must be wiped off the map and this is no longer … a dream [but] it is an achievable goal,” Salami said.
